Galaxy on Fire 2 is the sequel to the popular space-simulation game Galaxy on Fire created by Fishlab Games. It continues the story of Cpt. Keith Maxwell as he mysteriously is sent to the distant future via a wormhole. He must now save the universe again from the prescence of an evil race known as the Voids whose intentions are to deplete all the races of their supplies and then take over the galaxy.
Galaxy on Fire looks absolutely stunning and even more impressive on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S (separate version). The level of detail in the ships and planets is absolutely breathtaking. For purchasing the game you also get a long story, taking about 20 hours to complete. The amount of depth in the game is unbelieable as well, from purchasing all the customizations for your ships to doing all the missions to finding all the blueprints; Galaxy on Fire promises never to keep you bored.
The voice-acting in the game is really sub-par. If you were a major fan of the first then you may notice some major plotholes in the game as well. There is two versions so if you upgrade your device to a 4S or iPad 2 this requires yet another $9.99! Finally there is an expansion in app purchase that costs half the price of the full game but doesnt deliver even a quarter of the content.
Galaxy on Fire 2 is simply one of the best and most detailed iOS games to date. It is the leader in the App store and one of the best looking games out there as well. The price maybe a bit hefty but it really is worth every cent. iPad 2 and iPhone 4S users make sure you check out the HD version here : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/galaxy-on-fire-2-hd/id465072566?mt=8
